Dr. John Vargo graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1982. He completed his post-graduate residency in periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School in 1984, following that he practiced in Charleston, WV for over 30 years, specializing in periodontics and implant dentistry.
He has been practicing with Davis and Wine since 2017. He has also volunteered his time with the Volunteers of Medicine on Hilton Head since moving to the low country in 2016.
Dr. Vargo has been Board Certified with the American Board of Periodontology since 1989.
In his spare time, Dr. Vargo loves to play golf and is a member of Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island and Secession Golf Club in Beaufort.
He is happily married to Dr. Dianna Lenick and together they have 2 children and 4 grandkids.
